Investing in the education of tomorrow’s scientific leaders
“It is essential that success in the commercial application of scientific advances be accompanied by philanthropic assistance to the education and support of future researchers.”
This philosophy inspired the Simon H. Stertzer, MD Chair in Interventional Cardiology at Stanford University.
Established in 1998 with a gift from Dr. Simon H. and Kimberly A. Stertzer, the professorship supports the position of the Chief of Interventional Cardiology at Stanford University Medical Center. It was expanded two years ago to also support the Director of the Cardiovascular Institute at the Stanford University School of Medicine.
